Halloween...and Literacy

I told my principal that I had earned my check today…thought I might take the next two days off. He agreed to my taking off. Bless him.

Door Decorating for Red Ribbon Week: the kids placed second and are looking forward to those Sonic Drinks. For this collaboration…they placed first in my book! 🥈🥇
Collaboration: my seniors wowed me today with a presentation created and presented in 45 minutes…make that five presentations! Each group in 30 minutes, had to develop an idea for a town's Halloween Expo that included their small businesses and ask ChatGPT to develop their group a flyer based on the components of the idea. Then, they presented. Again, thank you, Rana Dowdy and Amy Foree and kiddos for coming in the last 15 minutes and

judging the presentations. Let’s do that again one day!
My 11th graders are angels…as their raven feathers turned into an amazing wingspan…and when the art teacher walks by and compliments us…yes, a win! The idea of this creation had them hooked…and offering to let them color is always a huge win!
Another group of juniors made agamographs, a type of art that creates two images depending on which direction you go, in this case, Poe and a Raven. 🐦‍⬛ These creations gave their wrists a workout…I know as I sat and helped one finish his. But…soooo cool!
Another kiddo gave me a piece of artwork this afternoon because the character from a book she had read reminded her of me…and she used the color purple because that is the color she thinks of in regards to me. Not sure what all that adds up to…?…but it was a nice ending to a good week!

Busy days...and making memories...all while learning and reviewing!
